For the GDMO post candidates must have completed an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college and must have a valid license from PMC/ PMDC. for Post as classified specialists candidates must have passed the part 2 Postgraduate FCPS qualifications in desired specializations. Candidates will be posted with his Major rank in Pak Army.
General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOS) as Captains (Male/Female)
Candidates just have passed the MBBS degree and completed the 01-year house job training from a recognized hospital.

BDS is recognized by PMDC. Candidates who have completed a minimum one-year house job from an institute recognized by PM&DC/ PMC will be given preference. As per policy, FCPS Part-I exam cleared before selection is not acceptable

Age Limit
- 28 years as on 1 May 2023 (relaxable up to 35 years)
- 28 years as on 1 May 2023 (relaxable up to 40 years)
- 32 years as on 1 May 2023 (relaxable up to 40 years)
Physical Standards
- Minimum Height - Male - 5' - 4" (162.5 cm) - Female -5' (152.4 cm)
- Weight - As per Body Mass Index
Nationality
Citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Kashmir/ Gilgit-Baltistan. Upon final selection, candidates with dual nationality will have to surrender nationalities other than Pakistani.
Bond
Short Service Regular Commission (SSRC) GDMO. GDDO and Specialists.
selected candidates will sign a bond to serve the Pak Army for a minimum period of 05 years. The applicability of the bond will commence on successful completion of basic military training at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul Abbottabad.
Pakistan Temporary Commission (PTC)
selected candidates will be required to sign to serve the pak Army for a minimum period of 02 years on a Contract Basis.
Training Period
22 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul Abbottabad for male/female (SSRC Cadets)
12 weeks of Training at Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul Abbottabad (PTC Cadets)
General Instructions
Candidates qualified from Government Institutes shall be preferred. Appearing candidates can also apply subject to Hope Certificate issued by the concerned Institution Candidates applying for GDMOs will have to forego their FCPS-I exam.
Written/ Intelligence/ Personality Tests.
For GDMOs, GDDOs, PTC, and Specialists based on multiple choice questions will be conducted at Army Selection centers
Preliminary Medical Tests.
Candidates will undergo an initial medical test at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres.
Further Selection Procedure
Candidates who are selected by Army Selection and Recruitment Centres will be called for interview by General Headquarters GHQ Selection Board. The recommended candidate medical examinations will be conducted at nearby Combined Military Hospitals CMH.
The final selection will be made at General Headquarters on the basis of candidate overall performance.
Documents Required
Original Educational certificates/ detailed Marks Sheets (SSC, HSSC) along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate. Two attested photocopies of the registration certificate of PMDC/ pmc for GDMOs. 02 attested photocopies of house job certificates if already done.
